Fencing
Fencing installation and replacement
New fences for gardens and boundaries, and replacements for fences that are rotten, leaning or have come down in the wind. Gates can be fitted as part of the same job.
What the job covers
James and his team put up new fencing and replace old fencing, from a few bays along one side of the garden to every boundary at once. Gates can go in at the same time, and the old fence and the waste that comes with it can be taken away if you would like.
Recent jobs shared on Instagram give a feel for the work. They include eleven bays of closeboard panels with concrete posts and gravel boards, a full garden fence makeover with new posts and gravel boards, and a run of fencing made from individually cut timbers to help with road noise.
Common reasons people get in touch
- The old fence is rotten, leaning or has blown down
- Posts have snapped or worked loose and repairs are no longer worth it
- You have moved house and want a fresh, tidy boundary
- You want more privacy in the garden
- The garden is being redone and the fencing needs to match
- An earlier fence was badly put up and needs putting right
Choosing a fence
The right fence depends on the look you are after, how private you want the garden to be and what is there at the moment. Ask James about panel styles, post types, gravel boards and gates for your garden, and he will talk you through the options before you decide.

Fencing questions
Can you replace my whole fence, not just part of it?
Yes, from a few bays to every boundary in the garden. Recent jobs on Instagram include an eleven bay install and a full garden fence makeover.
Can you fit a new gate at the same time?
Yes. Several recent installs included a new gate. Let James know where it needs to go and how you use it, for example bins or bikes.
My garden slopes. Is that a problem?
Not necessarily. One recent job was an awkward install on a slope with a big drop behind it. Mention the slope and send a photo so James can see what he is working with.
What type of fence should I have?
It depends on the look you want, how private you need it and what is there now. Ask James about the options for your garden and he will talk them through with you.
Can you take away the old fence?
Yes, removal of old fencing and the related waste is available as an option. Ask for it to be included when you request your quote.
